The Leeds Holistic Therapy and Training Centre has been created to assist those people wanting to learn or advance in their studies of holistic and complementary therapies.

We offer courses ranging from accredited (where an individual may use their qualification to go into the working world of therapies) or general short courses where an individual may simply want to advance their already gained qualification and advance their own personal development.

Based on Dewsbury Road Leeds, the Centre is equipped to offer a teaching environment for small groups and for larger groups, the use of larger premises is on offer. We also visit your premises for delivery of any courses if you feel this is more convenient.

Successes so far

People who have attended any of the Centre’s courses have left feeling that they actually achieved something they set out to do and also found it to be a place of serenity and yet structure to their learning.
33 people attuned to various levels of Reiki successfully and gone on to set up own businesses or own mobile work.
Many people who have attended any of the short courses have found them to be fulfilling on a personal level as well as integrating this into their everyday lives. Thus creating a positive affect on those people they come into contact with on a daily basis.
A Leeds based Project (assisting ex drug users and working women) offered various therapies to the users for a period of three months to ascertain interest. Over a year and half later, the therapies were still being offered due to the interest shown by the users.
Local Radio Station in Leeds also wanted a ‘one off’ pamper day to offer staff. This one day continued into almost two years and is still going strong by the staff who thoroughly look forward to their regular pampers …. ‘It makes me feel so much lighter’….. ‘I really look forward to you coming as I get so much from these sessions’……..
Confidence builder for people who thought they had nothing to offer to society and found after their course(s) they were much more confident in general and in the service they offer to others.

We are a small but ever growing business with the demand for this type of study growing daily.

The Centre has been created to offer a wide range of holistic and complementary therapies to those who are unable to attend college and find the personal study environment much more pleasing for them to study in. Having lived and worked abroad I have studied the need for these therapies and without doubt find that both abroad and here in the UK the demand is high and rapidly growing. Unfortunately, over the past few years due to the demand of a more holistic approach of healing, people have been offering their services without any formal qualifications, which could deter the natural interest of many. This Centre will assist the ‘good name’ of therapists overall to maintain a high and professional name for holistic and complementary therapies and strive to assure therapy users that they do have a choice about their own well-being.

The Centre is fully insured and approved by the Awarding Body to offer a qualification route of study. Advisers are constantly on hand to offer advice in respect of the running of the centre and to ensure a centre of excellence is maintained.

An independent Management Committee is presently being set up of whom are independent to the running of the Centre. The Management Committee’s intention is to offer advice and support on an independent level to both the Centre and users.

Staff are all qualified in their field of expertise and are qualified teachers and assessors. They have numerous years of experience in people skills, management and teaching.

Although the present premises are only equipped for small study groups at any one time, the long term intention of the centre is to expand into larger premises. However, the present premises have housed some ninety plus courses and the issue of size of the centre has never been an issue. Evaluation of all courses has included the question of venue suitability and again, this has never shown up as an issue, but rather the opposite that people have enjoyed the venue for its warmth and welcoming atmosphere. For larger courses hired premises are used.
